# Tape Library Management

## **Tape Library Management**

### Native connection support

Nodeum supports tape library management through three connection types:

* **SCSI over Fibre Channel**: Manages SCSI-based tape libraries over Fibre Channel.
* **SCSI over SAS**: Manages SCSI-based tape libraries over SAS.
* **ACSLS**: Manages Oracle StorageTek tape libraries through an ACSLS server.

#### **Library Management with ACSLS:**

Use ACSLS to manage supported Oracle StorageTek tape libraries through an ACSLS server.

**Supported Operations:**

Nodeum automates tape library operations, including tape mounting and unmounting during `read and write tasks`.

**Tape Drive Generations:**

The system supports LTO tape drives from LTO5 to LTO10, handling automated functions like tape and LTFS mounting/unmounting.
