### License

#### Prerequisites

To generate a license, first locate the serial number for each node. This can be found in the Nodeum Console under:

> System -> Information -> License

<figure><img src="https://1946775891-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FgzbGsZqZH8Ro8zxRYgwn%2Fuploads%2FNVipnnvAXwL0K0DtwEAo%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=d519ef20-b73b-40c0-99ba-03b93e1ea6c3" alt=""><figcaption><p>Nodeum System Information</p></figcaption></figure>

If the Nodeum Console is unavailable, retrieve the system UUID to find the serial number using this command:

```bash
$ cat /sys/class/dmi/id/product_uuid
423e05fd-b126-4ac5-eb87-84868938e049
```

{% hint style="danger" %}
Provide the Nodeum team with the serial numbers to receive the software license key.
{% endhint %}
