# Hostname and DNS Configuration

> System -> Hardware -> Network

This section, the 3 following parameters can be configured :

* Hostname
* Primary DNS
* Secondary DNS

#### Important Notes :

When using AD authentication, ensure the hostname is no longer than 15 characters

To function correctly, the system requires properly configured DNS for accurate DNS-to-IP resolution.
