# Monitoring

## Integration with Grafana

### Grafana Overview <a href="#user-content-prometheus-overview" id="user-content-prometheus-overview"></a>

Nodeum leverages Grafana and Prometheus to collect data and display the status of all nodes part of a cluster, this including a set of metrics for system resource utilization.

### Prometheus Node Exporter

Each node of the cluster get its local Node Exporter agent and Prometheus installed. The first one collects the data and the second one store these content into a local Prometheus database which guaranteeing long-term retention.

These metrics can then be exported to Grafana visualization tools.

All of these components are preinstalled through the Nodeum Ansible installation playbook.
